I had great pleasure working with you and your colleagues from In Extensio for ‘Entrée/Sortie' presented by the Chapelle historique du bon pasteur. I appreciated the relaxed and rigourous working climate throughout the rehearsal process. My sincere congratulations on great quality of your work. It was a great pleasure to work with the members of the trio In Extensio. Their versatility, professionalism and openness made our collaboration a real time of happiness. (creation of the work Vitrine sur Ex).
When three determined, grounded individuals meet on stage, the atmosphere is explosive. When the music begins, their mutual understanding is obvious. It's always a plaisir to hear them play.
In Extensio is made up of very ambitious musicians, who are also highly inventive, responsive, and easy to work with. I was intrigued by the programmatic idea they had for my commission (the urbanity/urbanism concept) ... it was the sort of thing that inspired a certain kind of music but that was also quite open to interpretation. I was especially excited to work with them on the studio recording ... their flexibility and openness allowed us to create a definitive version of the piece, even as we put it on tape.
